The Love Concert: A Benefit Performance for The PRASAD Project

At the beautiful home studio of Joan Hennigar & Steve Rich

Laz joins harmonica virtuoso Peter Madcat Ruth, in a concert of original as well as traditional songs, from folk to blues, to the mystic poetry of Rumi and Hafiz. Special guest, poet Jennifer Burd, will join Madcat and Laz for a few numbers. A free-will donation will be collected to support the work of The PRASAD Project. Our annual Thanksgiving Weekend Benefit Concert for Mott Children’s Hospital. Emily, San’s daughter, was born and cared for in the Holden NICU of Mott 32 years ago, and this is our annual “Thank You” concert. We’ll be joined by special guests, and of course Emily will add her spectacular vocals and violin!

Gemini turns 156 @ The Ark Coffeehouse

That’s no typo! This 156th birthday party will celebrate the date (actually, one week earlier) on which we each entered the world (12 minutes apart) 78 years ago. We’ll be joined by San’s daughter Emily on vocals and violin, Laz’s partner Jennifer Burd on bowed psaltery, and our friends and long-time “Good Mischief Band” members Eric Fithian on bass, and Mike Morrison on drums. We hope you will be there too.

This will be a concert for grown-ups, so leave the kids with their favorite babysitter and come celebrate with us!
